The Next Gen ATP stars are gearing up for an exciting battle in Jeddah, but first, they're enjoying a well-deserved beach retreat! The 2025 Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF is set to take place from Wednesday to Sunday in the stunning Silver Sands Beach, Saudi Arabia. But before the intense competition begins, these rising tennis talents are soaking up the sun and having a blast.
The official group photo session, water activities, and a barbecue were the highlights of their beach day. Norwegian tennis star Nicolai Budkov Kjaer, who secured four ATP Challenger Tour titles in 2025, expressed his excitement, "Jeddah is a reward for the hard work this year, so it's definitely fun to wrap it up here with some good friends and to play with these guys."
Martin Landaluce, who was enjoying the sun and surf with his close friend and fellow Spaniard Rafael Jodar, shared a similar sentiment, "It's fun because we've known each other since we were nine years old, and now we are back together in Jeddah. We're gonna play in the same group so I'll try to enjoy this match."
The event brings together the world's best 20-and-under players, offering them extensive media day opportunities with Saudi and international media. Silver Sands, with its clear waters, pristine sands, and relaxed elegance, provides the perfect setting for these premium experiences by the Red Sea.
The eight players are split into two groups of four for round-robin play from Wednesday to Friday at the King Abdullah Sports City. The knockout semi-finals will be played on Saturday, with the final on Sunday. Previous winners of this prestigious event include tennis legends Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
So, while the battle for the title is yet to begin, these tennis stars are making the most of their time together, creating memories that will last a lifetime. But here's where it gets controversial... Will their friendship and camaraderie translate into a stronger performance on the court? And this is the part most people miss... The real test of their friendship will come when they face off against each other in the group stages. So, what do you think? Will their bond strengthen their game, or will it become a distraction?
